We had interviewed 5 other planners in Italy before we were connected to Cheryl and was starting to question whether a wedding in Italy was even possible, but after a few minutes of talking to Cheryl, I immediately trusted her and knew we had found the planner who could actually make it a reality. From a private beach club day with friends, to a welcome party in the cliffs of Positano, a sail away day in Capri to the wedding day – with incredible food, décor, the cutest welcome bags ever and great music – Cheryl and her team created a once in a lifetime experience for us and our guests, and completely exceeded our expectations. It was the most magical experience. I’m still having the post wedding blues 4 months later!! Without Cheryl, I don’t think I would have ever been able to have the wedding of my dreams. We had a dream of what our wedding should be, and Cheryl made it a reality. This was the best weekend of our lives, and it would not have been so without her. Cheryl took the time to get to know us and seemed to intuitively understand our needs and priorities from the beginning. During the planning process, she presented us with an array of venues and suppliers, including food providers, florists, hair and makeup stylists and photographers. Important choices to be sure, but she never once pressured us to go beyond our budget, and she was even willing to make those small decisions where we had no opinions but which were ultimately necessary to ensure perfection. She made the planning process fun! We joke that she is the Mayor of Sorrento - given how well connected she is. She never once showed annoyance when we asked a million questions or changed our minds. Leading up to the actual event, Cheryl’s attention to detail was on full display. There were schedules and structures to guarantee we were prepared and organized. She went above and beyond the traditional role of wedding planner by interacting with our families and friends to assist them with anything from lodging and transportation to restaurant recommendations. Importantly, she created a calming space for us during the wedding weekend so we could focus on our guests—and each other. The result? Not a single detail was overlooked. Many of our guests made unsolicited comments about what a magical event this was, one of the very best weddings they had ever attended. And they all gave specific shout-outs to Cheryl and her team. Her passion for what she does is palpable. And her entire team shares that love and enthusiasm. We may have started our relationship with Cheryl as clients, but now we are, and will always be, friends.

Our wedding in Sorrento was truly a dream come true, and none of it would have been possible without Cheryl and her amazing team. From our very first meeting, her passion for planning bespoke, personal events was clear. She even helped me sell my husband on the idea of an Italian wedding by showing us the beautiful, tailored-to-us weekend her team could put together – and to say she delivered would be an understatement. Cheryl worked closely with us for the entire year leading up to our wedding to understand our vision, happily answering our (possibly hundreds of) emails, messages, and calls with countless questions and always bringing her contagious spirit to keep the planning process fun. When we finally arrived to Sorrento for our wedding weekend, we were grateful for having chosen to work with Cheryl and her team all over again. She made our entire weekend so incredibly personal and special. We kicked off the weekend with a celebratory drink with Cheryl at our welcome party venue, and it felt as though we arrived to the restaurant with the mayor of Sorrento – she is known and adored by all and for good reason. Cheryl and her team brought every detail of our wildest dreams to life, from the beautiful décor and ambiance of each venue to the incredible vendors she recommended. She even managed to find us a Lebanese dabke group to perform at our reception, which was such a special way of incorporating my husband’s culture into our celebrations. I can also say firsthand that Cheryl will go above and beyond to ensure you have the most amazing experience possible. It happened to rain on our wedding day, and she moved heaven and earth to pull off what all of our friends and family continue to proclaim was the most stunning, fun, and memorable wedding they’ve ever attended. Cheryl curated a once-in-a-lifetime three-day experience for our closest friends and family, including a private “sail away” party to Capri for all of our guests. Her enthusiasm and love for Sorrento shined through her seamless coordination of the entire weekend, which was managed with grace, efficiency, and style. My wife and I reached out to Cheryl very late in the wedding-planning process (late 2022) as we had determined that we wanted a small destination wedding as opposed to a large domestic one. Her schedule at that point was almost entirely booked up (for good reason), so we were thrilled when she decided to take us on as clients given how delayed we were in planning the wedding. From the start, Cheryl got to work with my wife on creating mood boards so that she could better understand what we wanted the wedding to look like, and she also was very helpful in preparing us for the mountain of paperwork required to get married in Italy. She gave us information on all the documentation we required, what types of certifications we needed, and helped us secure meetings at the Italian consulate in the states and the American consulate in Naples. Needless to say, her planning and preparation skills are incredible, and we never felt aimless or out of the loop since she is also an excellent communicator. When it came to the actual wedding day itself, I think my wife and I agreed that Cheryl was the reason that we did not feel stressed—she dealt with the wedding venue, the reception area, transportation to and from each place, the event planner at the reception, the representative from the mayor’s office in Sorrento, and she even translated our vows for us! The day ended up going off without a hitch, and we ended up having the wedding of our dreams. Cheryl made that entire day possible for us, and we felt supported and encouraged throughout the entire process. We also want to recognize how helpful her assistant Kat was in the lead up to the wedding as well. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with the work that Bella Sposa did for my wife and me. If you are considering a wedding in Sorrento, please do yourself a favor and obtain the services of Cheryl and Kat—you absolutely won’t be disappointed!

If you are planning to get married in Sorrento or the Amalfi, then look no further. We were originally planning on having an intimate wedding in Cyprus. We went to the destination wedding fair in London to look at venues. After attending the Cyprus stand, we knew straight away that wasn't what we wanted. Feeling very deflated we decided to go home & rethink our plans. On the walk out we passed the Bella Sposa stand and a very friendly face asked "have you considered Italy". We spent some time explaining our vison to Cheryl and she understood exactly what we wanted. Cheryl turned our whole experience that day around and 1 month later we were planning our wedding in Sorrento. The paperwork required to have a legal ceremony in Italy is pretty extensive and I would say impossible to navigate without a wedding planner based in Italy. Cheryl explained every detail and made sure we completed everything correctly and within the timescale required. On our visits to Italy Cheryl would spend time showing us venues, discussing details and just making us feel at ease. Our wedding day was everything we had hoped for and more. From the flowers to the fireworks, our day was perfect. Music was a big part of our day and Cheryl introduced to some amazing musicians. From the Harpist at the ceremony to the Saxo player at the reception, all were exceptional artists. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how the modern songs played on the harp was like a scene from Bridgerton 😀 We had a small wedding but we felt like this made no difference to the time and effort Cheryl & Cat put into it. Cheryl recommended our Photographer & videographer based on the type of images we wanted. We cannot wait to see the photos & video. Cheryl organised our welcome drinks and post wedding BBQ. She attended both of these events, as well as being present for the whole wedding day. By the end of our wedding Cheryl was not just our wedding planner but a friend. Cheryl takes care of every detail and will make your dream wedding a reality, as she did for us! So many of our guests have said "it was the best wedding they've ever been to" and I can whole Heartedly say this was because of Cheryl & the Bella Sposa Team.
